Volunteer Responsibilities

To commit at least one year of service as an AIM representative, requiring approximately; 5-10 hours per year.

  • To contact selected prospective or current applicants from your geographic area.
  • To identify and attract prospective students to the University of New Mexico.
  • To introduce prospective students to general admissions procedures.
  • To remain current concerning admission information and requirements.
  • To provide other needed information as requested by the applicant.
  • To recommend and encourage the applicant to contact Recruitment 
Services for more detailed information.
  • To communicate with Recruitment Services regarding pertinent information 
about prospective students.
  • To communicate with the UNM Alumni Office regarding your perceptions, 
concerns and suggestions for the AIM program.
