Here are a few tips on set-up, displaying,
and working with the materials.

You should have five (5) components:

1. Overview / Search Piece:
The ‘overview’ search piece has a colorful cover. Start by placing two stacks in the middle of the table.

As you hand this out sayHere is an overview of the University of New Mexico.

2. Application:
Place a stack on each side of the overview search piece. Take the application—unfold and place face down in the table center. The back of the application has the list of the UNM majors / degrees / programs.

Now ask as you hand out the applicationWhat is your academic interest? What do you want to study?

UNM = yoU Need Money—We have scholarships!

3. Scholarship Information:
On both sides of the application place Scholarship Information brochure.

“Three point O — we’ll show you the dough at New Mexico”

UNM = University Next to Mountains

4. Housing Brochure:
On each side of the scholarship brochure stack Housing Brochures face up.

Talking points:

  • A lot of people think Albuquerque is flat and hot, we’re NOT.
  • The University of New Mexico is located at the southern tip of the Rocky Mountains.
  • We are 5000’ feet high against a 10,000’ foot mountain backdrop.
  • The Mile High City with Better Weather!

UNM = University Nearly a Mile High
Snow — YES! UNM = Usually Not Much

5. Response cards and pens:
Place the response cards at the front of the table in front of the materials ... keep the cards.
